BullionMax Review

As the global economy careens toward another potential collapse, protecting one's investments is getting harder by the day. Fortunately, the age-old wisdom of buying gold and other precious metals to store wealth is just as true today as it was decades ago.

Put simply, precious metals are currently your best bet to secure your wealth against the ever-increasing threat of inflation. I personally suggest looking into precious metal IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts) to shield your future self from financial troubles. 

The only big hurdle that you might face in this endeavor is choosing the right dealer to buy the precious metals from. There are so many options online and not all of them offer the same rates or service quality. Which is why I’m on a quest to find the best ones.

Today’s subject is the online dealer BullionMax and my first impressions of the company are quite good. It has extremely good rates and a no-nonsense service that focuses on the core purchase of metals, instead of gimmicks like half-baked subscriptions. 

That said, first impressions aren’t enough for me to fully recommend BullionMax as a trustworthy precious metal dealer. Let’s take a closer look at its services to see if it’s worth your consideration.

Brief Overview

From what I’ve seen, the company itself does not publish an official launch date, but according to the Better Business Bureau, BullionMax started its service in 2020. 

So, all things considered, it is a relatively young dealer in a business where some companies have been in business for decades. Plus, it also lacks endorsement from any notable figure to increase its legitimacy in the public’s eyes. 

However, what I find the most impressive about BullionMax is that despite its limited time on the market, it has managed to build a solid reputation with thousands of positive reviews from satisfied customers.

What Makes the Company Stand Out?

One thing this mountain of positive customer feedback confirms is that the overall service quality of BullionMax is on par with some of the best precious metal dealers I’ve ever reviewed. 

But, service quality alone isn’t enough to earn my full recommendation. So, I spent some time looking around BullionMax’s website and making some purchases from it. Here are the features and services that stood out the most to me:

Good metal lineup

The first thing I noticed when looking for products on BullionMax’s website is its metal coverage.

But that is not all. You can also purchase unique coins made out of Copper at fairly cheap prices. 

While I understand that those copper coins have basically zero value as an investment, they are a fun purchase for coin collectors like myself.

Massive range of bullion products

BullionMax also has one of the widest ranges of bullion products of any precious metal dealer I’ve encountered. 

To give you an example, there are more than 380 different gold bullions for sale on this dealer’s website including coins, bars, and notes. Similarly, there are over 390 products for silver and about 20 for platinum.

These bullion products are quite varied in weight, ranging from 1 gram to 1 kilo, so you can find the ideal design and weight that fits your requirements.

Low prices with good deals

BullionMax also offers some of the lowest precious metal prices on the market. Plus, most of the prices are also updated regularly based on the spot price of each metal.

However, what I found the most interesting are the deals that offer fantastic value. 

Take the South African Gold Krugerrand Coin, for example. It’s a 1-ounce coin that’s available for 2,066 USD at the time of writing. This is just 29 USD over the spot price of gold which is at 2,035 USD.

Reliable buyback program

A good buyback program is one of my top requirements for recommending a precious metal dealer and BullionMax does not disappoint.

I do have to mention that there is a minimum limit of 1,000 USD. But there is no upper limit, so you can liquidate as much precious metal as you want.

BullionMax offers free shipping to anywhere in the US if your order is above 199 USD. 

This might not sound like a big deal to some, but for low-volume investors, those shipping fees can put a noticeable dent in profits.

Responsive customer support

I contacted the company via phone and email to ask some questions about their IRA policies and the response of BullionMax’s support team was excellent. 

I was especially impressed by how quickly they got back to me by email as I’ve encountered some precious metal dealers that take days to answer simple questions. 

Useful educational resources

I am a big advocate for precious metal IRAs and investments as they are the most secure option out there. But, I’ve met many investors who were aware of this fact but didn’t know where to get started when they heard terms like “bullion” and “mint” when researching metal investments. 

For them, and many other potential investors, the dozens of well-written educational articles on BullionMax’s website can prove to be extremely helpful.

Fees

I am not a fan of precious metal dealers that either hide their charges until you make a purchase or get on call with them. Fortunately, BullionMax isn’t one of them as all of its fees and charges are right there on its website.

Shipping your purchased metals, for example, has a flat fee of 9.95 USD if the order is up to 199 USD. Plus, as I mentioned above, you get free shipping if your order is 200 USD or more. 

Other fees like commissions on bullion are baked into their prices so you know exactly how much money you’re spending on an order.

Storage Services

From my research, BullionMax does not provide any in-house storage services. That said, the company does work with other custodians for its IRA service so you can still invest with BullionMax without having to physically handle and secure these metals. 

How to Invest with the Company

There are two key ways you can invest with BullionMax: buying precious metals and an IRA.

If you’re more interested in the IRA, I suggest calling the company at (800)-729-3202 or emailing them at info@bullionmax.com. This way, you’d be able to consult with one of its IRA partners to discuss your arrangements with ease.

Alternatively, if you want to purchase coins or bars yourself, the process for that is quite simple as well. Here’s what I did:

• Visit the BullionMax website;
• Click on the “Gold” or “Silver” options on the top bar if you’re interested in buying gold or silver.
• If you’re instead looking for Platinum or Palladium, they are under the “Other” option;
• Once you’ve selected the metal, choose the type of bullion you want, i.e. coins, bars, rounds;
• Lastly, find the product you want and click on “Add to cart”;

All that’s left is the checkout process which is quite similar to any other online retailer you might’ve purchased from before. 

Is It Reliable?

Judging from everything I’ve seen so far, BullionMax does appear to be quite reliable and trustworthy. Of course, this is in line with the thousands of positive customer reviews that lead us to the same conclusion. 

Plus, BullionMax also has an A+ business rating on BBB (Better Business Bureau) which adds further credibility to this online precious metal dealer. 

But, that is not all. I tested its services myself for this review and was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t experience any issues while placing the order and it was delivered within two days, which is especially remarkable.

My overall experience with BullionMax was just as good as my first impressions of the dealer. In other words, I recommend it wholeheartedly to any investor looking to purchase gold, silver, or other precious metals. 

I also stand by what I said in the beginning, one of the best parts of BullionMax is just how straightforward its service is. It is a by-the-books online precious metal retailer that delivers on time, every time. 

However, it is important for me to clarify that you should not follow this recommendation blindly. Before you invest any money with BullionMax, make sure to do your own thorough research or — even better — hire a professional financial consultant.
