Business Process Lifecycle

« Back to Glossary Index

We can speak of more than one process lifecycle. The largest process lifecycle begins when the process is created, describes the steps in its use and improvement and ends when the process is terminated. Smaller process lifecycles describe the way a process handles a particular class of input. A single process lifecycle, at this level, is usually referred to as an instance. A value stream diagram describes a process lifecycle.
