This month, Jyoti Bhat and Jude Fernandez turn their attention to compliance regulation in India. They observe that, as Indian companies assume global status, there will be an increased need to bring in mature process based compliance practices, tools and technologies to enable organizations to achieve and/or maintain compliance. Jude Fernandez
Jude Fernandez leads research projects within the BPM Research Center at the Software Engineering & Technology Labs (SETLabs) in Infosys. He has been instrumental in developing Infosys' BPM viewpoint and his current research interests include exploring distributed work patterns as well as other related BPM areas. Jude has about 15 years of experience in the Process arena both as an internal and external consultant. He was a key member of the Corporate Quality team at Infosys and key initiatives included Malcolm Baldrige assessments for Infosys, 6 Sigma-based BPR projects amongst others. Jude's consulting experience covers different areas including Balanced Scorecard, Process Analysis and Improvement, BPR etc. He was the chairperson of the first International Workshop on BPM Governance (held in Sept 2007 co-located with BPM 2007).
