Dr. Maxwell HughesDr. Maxwell Hughes is Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, where he teaches, via the internet, and consults on the management of IT and on business process analysis and simulation. This follows a 33-year career with Pfizer Inc. Dr. Hughes introduced computing into Pfizer's research division. As Vice President, Administration for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, he managed the establishment of all the staff functions: finance, systems, planning, acquisitions and HR. Dr. Hughes established, and was the first general manager of, Pfizer Medical Systems, which developed and marketed CT scanners worldwide. While VP -Systems and Communications he developed and used an issues-based methodology for IT Planning.

In business process management Dr.Hughes has constructed system dynamics -based simulations in domains that include: marketing, pharmaceutical production, sales-ordering and fulfillment, ROI of IT investments, clinical trials, HR, e-commerce order fufillment, development and patent protection of pharmaceuticals, PC and server reselling. Clients include: Amazon.com, AMGEN, AMP, Pfizer, Rohm&Haas.
