Are You a Process Manager?

• I talk with employees who report to me about processes and how our tasks contribute to the success of larger processes
• I lead teams to analyze process problems and to improve how tasks or processes are performed
• I work with outside teams or consultants to try to improve the process I manage
• I measure activity inputs, outputs and flows between activities and use the results of process measures to make management decisions
• I work with the managers of other processes that my process interacts with to determine how we can improve the larger process we support
• I place an emphasis, in all my dealings, on improving the overall success of the process
