As organizations mature, the IT landscape becomes increasingly larger and more complex. Arijit Ghoshal suggests that periodic application portfolio rationalization (APR) helps to eliminate non value adding and non performing applications. In this Article, the author discusses and demonstrates the use of a statistical technique called AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) which can be applied to improve decision making during the APR exercise.
