Carol Haig, CPT is principal of Carol Haig & Associates, a performance improvement consulting firm founded in 1998. She has over thirty years of experience helping line and staff managers improve the performance of their employees in information technology, insurance, financial services, public utilities, communication, and healthcare.
As a skilled performance improvement consultant who has managed projects and designed and developed materials for a broad range of needs, Carol has experience with: executive development, sales skills, train-the-trainer, succession planning, production management, software training support, customer service, insurance and banking products and services, human resources initiatives, call centers, new employee orientation, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Carol has written video scripts, self-study packages, classroom materials, white papers, executive letters and talking points, and newsletters. She is co-author of Performance Architecture — The Art and Science of Improving Organizations, published by Pfeiffer in 2009. She is a contributing author to The Handbook of Human Performance Technology, both the 2nd and 3rd editions. Carol currently co-authors TrendSpotters, a monthly column for PerformanceXpress, an ISPI online publication, and Performance Architecture, a quarterly online column for BPTrends.
Carol received her Certified Performance Technologist designation from the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) in 2002. She holds a Master's degree in Secondary English Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in the same discipline.
She volunteers on the hotline for a crisis center serving her community where she offers help and support 24/7 to callers who may be in personal crisis, mentally ill, homeless, addicted, or suicidal.
